Fa Card – The Engaging Community for Fa Mau Mau

Fa Mau Mau is a card game that enjoys significant popularity worldwide, closely related to UNO and Crazy Eights. The game requires players to strategically discard cards and adapt their strategies swiftly, making each session dynamic and engaging. This platform offers a free-to-play environment where enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the classic game within a vibrant community.

The Deck and the Deal

Fa Mau Mau utilizes a French deck consisting of 32 playing cards, achieved by removing cards ranked 2 through 6 from a standard 52-card deck. The dealer initiates the game by distributing 5 face-down cards to each player. The remaining deck is placed face down in the center, forming the stock. After players view their cards, the dealer flips the top card from the stock face up. Should this card be a Jack, it is set aside, and another card is drawn.

How to Play

The game proceeds in a clockwise direction, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. Participants aim to play cards onto the pile begun by the top card of the stock. A player may discard a card if it matches either the suit or rank of that top card. Only one card can be played per turn. If a player cannot make a legal move, they must draw from the stock. Should they find themselves able to play the drawn card, they may do so; otherwise, they retain it, and play passes to the next participant.
